## Variables ##

choice: Resource pool-choice. 1=larger pool, 2=smaller pool

chk_=x: Manipulation check with the correct answer marked as x.

gender: Participant's gender. 1=Male, 2=Female, 3=Other

age: Participant's age. Marked as NA when not a valid numeric input.

condition: The condition each participant was assigned to. String variable.

choice reason: The reason each participant chose for their resource pool-choice. String variable.

klevel: The corresponding k-level for each specific choice reason. String variable. See the manuscript for the detailed definition and description of each k-level.

other level: The k-level each participant inferred about other participants.

self level: The k-level each participant indicated about themselves.

other_self: The combination of inferred others' k-level and indicated self k-level. String variable.

otherlevel_x_choice reason: The explanations of their choice reasons for participants who chose "other".

otherchoice: The prediction of other participants' pool-choice.

perception: The option that appeared better. 1=going to the larger event / going to the event, 2=going to the smaller event/staying at one's local store, 3 = neither.

## Analysis ##

All data were analyzed using SPSS or online tools for Chi-Square analysis calculator. No codes available.
